Halfords: Their two-year programme provides graduates with an opportunity to gain experience in the Commercial and Marketing teams, spending time in a Buying role and in Marketing or E-Commerce. As part of your induction you will spend time working in the stores. The rest of your time you will be divided between a placement in the Trading, Marketing and Digital teams. In the 6 months you’ll spend with the Trading team, you’ll get to see a product through its complete life cycle. From product development and sourcing to forecasting sales, to merchandising the product in store and creating promotions, you will get to be there every step of the way. Their Promotions team works closely with our Category and Store teams to develop, implement and manage the entire in store promotional activities. During a placement in Digital you’ll work closely with the category teams to implement promotions and push sales. You’ll get stuck in cutting edge projects that are integral to Halfords’ growth in today’s online market.
