Peggy Guggenheim Collection: Situated in the major cultural hub of Venice, the Peggy Guggenheim offers a competitive international internship program for Italian and international students who study art history or related disciplines. This programme is suitable for those who are interested in gaining a valuable experience of museum management and modern art collections. Interns will be expected to partake in the management of galleries, assisting visitors, supporting the museum office staff in various departments and participation in the educational activities of the museum. Depending on the time of the Internship, interns may have the privilege of assisting in the world’s oldest international contemporary art event, the Venice Biennale. Applicants should be able to speak fluent English and have knowledge of the Italian language, an academic background in history of art or related disciplines and a desire to pursue a career in the arts. Students may apply for one, two or three months. Interns are given €800 per month to cover basic rent and some living expenses. Travel expenses excluded.
